“The need for improved infrastructure in the County is crucial for the health and well-being of future generations. Thanks to President Joe Biden’s leadership to enact the $1.2 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, our Department of Public Works is excited to welcome an array of projects across the region. But as we develop improved infrastructure for our residents, it is
critical that small and diverse local contractors, many of whom have been excluded from the system, benefit from these opportunities by being engaged on County construction contracts. Our new Contractor Development and Bonding Program (CDABP) will help to address the historic barriers to public construction contracting and provide a range of technical assistance, as well as financial support. Our projects must reflect the County’s diversity and this program will help to achieve just that.”
